Driver News: Bang & Olufsen Masterlink Gateway

The Recluse AV B&O Masterlink Gateway driver for Control4 offers two way control over B&O's masterlink devices.  With the one cable from Control4 you can control all your BeoVision and BeoSound devices around your home.  This includes control over Control4 via Bang & Olufsen's Beo6 remote.

How does it work?

This package consists of four different drivers.  A MLGW driver that connects the other drivers to the MLGW, a BeoSound driver that communicates with BeoSound devices, a BeoVision driver that communicates with BeoVision devices and a DVD driver that connects to the BeoVision driver for BeoVisions that have the optional DVD or Bluray drives installed.

This one driver will control as many masterlink devices as you want in your B&O system.  It also provides feedback to the Control4 system so that Control4 can activate lights, HVAC, blinds, curtains, doors, etc upon notifications from B&O.  For example pressing the play button on your Beo6 remote (or Control4 remote) can dim the lights in your room.

Additional usage scenarios include using the Beo6 remote control to close the curtains/blinds, dim the lights, open the front door or even execute an audible announcement over your BeoSound system telling yours kids to come to dinner.  The possibiliies are endless.
